SONY RM-B170

The Sony RM-B170 is a compact handheld remote control unit designed for basic operations of Sony HDCAM, XDCAM, and studio/portable cameras, allowing control from up to 100 meters via an 8-pin cable.

Features

  • Basic Camera Controls: Includes buttons for CALL, TEST signal, ATW (auto-tracing white balance), 5600K filter, FREEZE MIX, SHOT MARK 2, and digital extenders (x2/x3).
  • Media and File Access: Controls media in connected recorders, supports non-linear clip operations and viewing from a distance.
  • Adjustment Functions: Master gain, iris, saturation (ON/OFF/adjust), S&Q motion (frame rate selection), zoom/focus (remote/local modes).
  • Shutter and ECS: Enables Extended Clear Scan (ECS), electronic shutter ON/OFF, frequency/speed adjustments; slow shutter frame accumulation.

  • Monitor Output: BNC composite out for picture monitoring (HD down-converter required); 10m remote cable included.
  • I/O and Build: D-Sub 9-pin EXT I/O for GPI; DC 10.5-30V power (3W), compact size (86 x 179 x 64 mm), 0.47 kg weight.
